Yapılan açıklamada, Türkiye’nin finansal katkısı, Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığı Orman Genel Müdürlüğü’nün teknik ekipman desteği ve KKTC Orman Dairesi’nin çalışmaları ile 2010-2020 yılları arasında 10 milyon 468 adet fidan üretildiği, yaklaşık 7 milyon fidanın, 5 hektardan fazla alanda toprakla buluştuğu bildirildi.

Bunun yanında, fidanların dikim, bakım ve korunması için her türlü teknik ve ekipman desteği de sağlandığı kaydedildi.

KEİ’nin ayrıca, KKTC’de, çevre konusunda toplumsal duyarlığı artırmak, yeşilin korunarak gelişmesi, toprağın bereketlenerek daha verimli hale gelmesi, kuş türlerinin ve endemik bitkilerin korunması amacıyla yıllardır çeşitli projelere finans desteği verdiği ifade edildi.
